I’m lucky! I get two family Christmases each year, one in Norfolk and the other in the Cotswolds. This year my west coast Christmas celebration took place in a cosy cottage just outside of Kemble.
Christmas to me is family. I have a big family scattered all over the UK and so it’s rare we all get together under one roof, which makes Christmas all the more special. I love just sitting together by a log fire, taking the mick out of each other in a way only family can get away with and general larking about. My siblings all have children which has brought a new phase to the season. Watching them get excited about unwrapping their presents or just enjoying an empty box is lovely. Hearing them insist that they take their new toy to bed as they can’t be parted is just too cute.
