I love every single aspect of my job (not everyone can say that, right?). But it’s even more special when you get the opportunity to capture the most adorable moments and magical memories on your friend’s uper creative and stylish Norwich wedding day. Hannah and Jack are an awesome couple that I can honestly say are made for each other.

It was a real treat to be able to share every aspect of their amazing alternative Norwich wedding. From capturing the intimate moments of the bride and groom get ready together in their hotel room (which I think is such a beautiful way to start such an important day), before they drove themselves to the Octagon Unitarian Chapel, through to watching them walk up the aisle together to take their vows (another lovely and super unique way of shaping your wedding to what works for you as a couple), this project meant an awful lot to me, for obvious reasons.

Every aspect of the day had been planned to perfection. From the ceremony location, the stunning Octagon Unitarian Chapel in Norwich, through to the wedding reception that took place at the stylish Georgian Townhouse, it was clear that an awful lot of thought, creativity and attention to detail had been put into every part of their day.

Their connection was undeniable, which really made my job a dream. And as you all know, my favourite clients are those that think outside the box both in terms of their Norwich wedding and their approach to life, which is why I absolutely adored their unique theme. Hannah looked amazing in her black wedding dress adorned with captivating embroidery that sparkled from every angle.

My photography style has always been about capturing authentic reportage and documentary style photography that preserves some of life’s most precious moments in a relaxed, real, and endearing way and this project really allowed me to exercise my creativity to capture intimate moments between the happy couple, and all of their favourite people of course. It was an absolute pleasure being able to take their wedding photographs, especially as I got the opportunity to capture all of those unforgettable moments, from a front row seat!

Other highlights of the day included the staged ‘first look’ that we did – this was a truly special moment. But there was also fantastic dancing, canon bombs during their first dance, and an electric party atmosphere where copious amounts of shots were enjoyed…which all made for excellent photos.

Even the unpredictable British weather didn’t but a damper on the day’s celebrations and, once the downpours had disappeared, two rainbows appeared in the sky – they say that’s good luck, right?

One thing’s for sure, this was one Norfolk wedding that I’ll never forget!
