Jenny and Phil’s wedding was the second I had shot at The Octogon Unitarian Chapel, Norwich but the first I had shot at The Red Lion, a good old fashioned English pub set next to the river Wensum in Norwich city centre. I love the idea of having your wedding reception in a pub as I always think the venue helps to set the tone and holding a wedding reception at the Red Lion Pub created a really intimate, relaxed and friendly atmosphere which was just what the couple were after.

The Octogon Unitarian Chapel is a stunning, wooden clad building flooded with light located in the centre of Norwich. I have been shooting a lot of weddings in the Norfolk countryside recently and so as their wedding reception venue was only a 20 minute walk through the city it’s was lovely to use that opportunity to whisk Jenny and Phil off for their couple shots taking advantage of the quirky urban backdrops, vibrant buildings, cute shop door ways and graffiti covered walls.

This was one of my mini packages offering four hours coverage, but with the help of my super assistant Cat we managed to capture the all the fab homemade details Jenny and Phil had spent hours putting together, the imitate ceremony, all the love and laughter and the guests kicking back having fun.
