HOW I GOT HERE

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
I’ve worked as a photographer since 2011 after a degree in Photography, which included an amazing year in the Czech Republic, but the passion goes back much further.
Growing up, my mum carefully created detailed family photo albums, filling them with photographs, handwritten notes and little mementos from our lives. They became more than albums – they were time capsules, preserving the people, places and stories that might otherwise have faded with time. As I look back on them they make me think about the value of photography and how important it is to record the people events in our lives.
As a teenager at parties I’d always end up with my old Olympus OM10 and a makeshift backdrop making my tipsy friends look unfeasibly glamorous.

MY FRIENDS ALL STARTED TO GET MARRIED
I was happily working as an Arts and Education Coordinator in London when my friends started getting married and needed a photographer. Knowing I had a knack for capturing great photos, they asked me to help. Before I knew it, I had built a portfolio, launched a website, and was getting booked to photograph weddings for people I didn’t know!

WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!
One of the greatest perks of being your own boss is the freedom to shape your business as your passions and interests evolve. I’m a mum now and the flexibility that comes with being your own boss is fab! I don’t think I’ll ever go back.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve transitioned from exclusively working at weddings to corporate photography – partnering with businesses and brands to bring their services, people and events to life.
