Capturing Tropic’s 15th Anniversary Company Away Day
Company away days are about much more than team building. They’re an opportunity to celebrate achievements, strengthen relationships and create lasting memories. As a photographer, my role is to capture those genuine moments that reflect a company’s culture and the people behind its success.
I had the pleasure of photographing Tropic’s company away day at the beautiful Granary Estates near Newmarket, where the team came together to celebrate the company’s 15th anniversary. The brief from my client was to capture the joy, fun and the day as it unfolds. I love a brief like this!
Fun and friendly competition fuelled the day as teams worked together to design the next great product. Other activities, including a LEGO building competition, encouraged collaboration, problem-solving and plenty of laughter. These kinds of events are ideal for creating natural, authentic photographs that show colleagues working together and enjoying each other’s company.
Some of my favourite images weren’t taken during the organised activities at all. The natural moments of shared jokes between teammates and moments of celebration throughout the day often tell the strongest story about what it’s really like to work within a business. I actaully left this event wishing I was a scientist so I could work for Tropic!
