Getting engaged is a really exciting time. A milestone in it’s own right and capturing that in a set of engagement photos is a really good idea for a number of reasons. Rebekah and John have booked me as their wedding photographer in April and we wanted to get together in advance for an engagement shoot. We headed to Wells beach on the most incurable day in September. The sun was out, the blue sky made an appearance, in fact it felt more like Summer and not the start of Autumn. Wells-next-the-Sea beach and the nearby wood makes a great spot for a photo shoot as it offers so many different backdrops. We had a lot of fun exploring!

Engagement shoots are a great opportunity for you to get comfortable in front of the camera before I turn up on your wedding day. It’s a chance to have a go at this posing malarky without the pressure of having all your friends and family and, y’know, the enormity of your wedding going on around you. This shoot is all about you two! And it’s a chance for us to meet and get to know each other, understand your vision, and try out some unique ideas. It’s a time to get creative and have a bit of fun! I like to make it as informal as possible, a chance for us to chat.

I so enjoyed working with these two and can not wait for their wedding day in a few weeks time. Watch out for a preview of their wedding photos that I will be posting in April.
