So this week has been a gooden! It started with hearing that a couple of my images were published in this months issue (issue 10) of The Homemaker magazine. I was asked by Rose Hoare, The Homemaker Winner of Writer Awards 2013, to photographer her and her family to accompany her winning article. Rose lives in a woodland cottage in Wheatfen, Norfolk on the Ted Ellis nature reserve. Naturalist Ted was her grandfather and with Rose’s grandmother both started and managed the reserve. Rose’s winning piece describes the magic of her family home, surrounding fens and woodland that has been loved and enjoyed by five generations.

Others reasons I have a smile on my face:

  • I got a massive bunch of flowers delivered to my door from a photographer friend of mine. Total out of the blue but so, so welcome!
  • I’ve had loads of wedding photography enquiries for 2014 this week. Two have booked and a couple of consultations in the diary.
  • I got a thank you card from a couple whose wedding I shot in June. It was so sweet and another lovely surprise.

“Thank you so much for your wonderful photographs – they are stunning. You pulled of exactly what we wanted, some gorgeous shots of us, capturing the spirit of the day, some treasured photos of our families and friends and a window on the parts of the day we didn’t see. You star! Thank you for your part in our special day.” B+N

  • I did a site recce with James and Tora who are getting married tomorrow in Tora’s parents back garden. I had fun exploring possible couple shots and discovering some real english country gardens in Norwich.

Let’s hope my good fortune continues into next week.

Have a great weekend everyone. x
