What a wedding combo! Becketts Chapel followed by a beautiful reception at The Unthank Arms Pub

Being from Norwich I thought I knew the city really well, that was until I started photographing weddings! Shooting weddings has enabled me to explore the city I love in a whole new way. Adam and Sarah's wedding introduced me to The Unthank Arms Pub and Becketts Chapel as wedding venues. Becketts Chapel,  part of The Halls, Norwich is smack bang in the centre of Norwich at the top of Elm Hill. It is a cool and quirky chapel tucked behind St Andrews Halls. It's a very light space, with beautifully crumbly walls that has ivy working it's way through any gap and hole it can wiggle through. This adds to it's charm and rustic beauty and the feeling you discovered it yourself. Needless to say, I'm a big fan of this place and I would love to return!

Sarah and Adam exchanged vows under an arch of greenery. Their guests and their daughter watched on as they made their promises before walking out to help themselves to a mini bottle of Prosecco chilled in old tin bath. Whilst their guests hopped on the Routemaster to The Unthank Arms pub, Sarah, Adam and I headed to Pottergate for some couple shots. Whilst we were outside The Birdcage it started to rain so Adam had the great idea of popping inside to shelter from the rain and have a swift pint. It's these adhoc, informal moments that I think make the best story and most relaxed photos full of personality. Plus The Birdcage is adorned by awesome, arty decoration that is perfect for photos.

The Unthank Arms is a fantastic venue for a wedding reception. In fact, I think pubs in general make great places to celebrate a marriage. The venue sets the tone and The Unthank Arms is such a welcoming, relaxed and attractive pub, which was styled perfectly by Adam and Sarah. The wedding partied on, guests tucked into a delicious spread and had their faces adorned at a glitter bar whilst confetti canons blasted during their first dance. This was another beautiful wedding and spectacular couple that I had the great pleasure to photograph.
