I carefully considered taking on an Associate Photographer to help me expand my business, but I didn’t want to take on just anyone to represent Beth Moseley Photography, they had to be pretty special and super talented.

I met Mark a couple of years ago and we instantly clicked. His friendly and relaxed manner makes him lovely to be around and his photography is fantastic and fits perfectly with my house style. If you decide to book Mark to photograph your wedding day you will not be disappointed

Mark’s half day package is £750 / full day starts at £1,450.

By way of introduction I’ve asked Mark to answer a few questions about himself.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m a wedding photographer based in Norwich, originally from Morecambe, my accent for some reason hasn’t altered one iota since I left 18 years ago. In fact it’s got stronger!  I think about creating images constantly, I love a good shadow on a wall.  I live in Norwich with my better and funnier half Jayne and our cat Marcellus, who is bonkers.

What’s your favourite thing about photographing weddings?

The energy and collective feeling of pure happiness that’s in the room when the speeches take place. It’s the best real life film you get to witness and as a photographer you get to produce and photograph it. There are so many great parts to the day, everyone is happy and on a high and that’s infectious for a photographer, the energy feeds you and your ideas.

What makes you laugh?

My wife hiding when I arrive home.

How long have you been a photographer?

I’ve taken photographs for a long time, from taking disposable cameras on holiday 25 years ago to now using a camera for my profession. I love having a tool to capture what’s around me, if I don’t have a camera on me I get a bit jittery. I relax with a camera.

I’d say the biggest influence on my creative way of thinking and outlook in all seriousness is the Beastie Boys or Iggy Pop. At 18 (err going on 30) I either wanted to be a musician in a band or a photographer.  Luckily for your ears I’m a photographer.  I got into photography after my granddad used to take portraits of my sister Kim and I with his Minolta XG-1.

Here it is, I’ve still got it with the pictures.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

I’ve photographed weddings for 5 years.  I started assisting some great wedding photographers and worked initially with inspiring people such as Nabeel Khan, Alexa Loy, Laura McCluskey and Nisha Ravji.  The Photography Farm run by Lisa Devlin and Welcome Home by Emma Case was invaluable for my progression.  I’ve shot my own weddings for 3 years and am now truly excited to be capturing emotion and action for the awesome Beth Moseley Photography.

When you’re not shooting weddings what do you like to do and photograph?

I’m a cyclist and love all things involving bikes.  I ride in Norfolk every week with a great bunch of people called the Zombies of Tombland. I love shooting cycling as well, particularly the action at velodromes behind the scenes.  I also create a mini alternative cycling world called ‘Le Petit Tour’ as well, it’s on Instagram as @lepetittour.  Portraiture and people are what inspire me the most though so I’d say I lean that way with my work when not capturing weddings.

How would you friends describe you?

I’d like to think they think of me as I think of my dad. Honest, worth his salt, funny and dependable. No messing, no drama, good ol’ Ash.
